4 dogs remained for the run off, number 5 was asked to picked a partridge over a ditch in a plain grass field at some distance, number 7 was asked to pick a partridge over the same ditch in different direction, the bird was not in the area given it was a further 35 yrds out of that area.

Number 10 was asked to pick a bird in the middle of the field over the same ditch, which he completed very efficiently.

Number 12 had the furthest bird to pick over the same ditch, which she did successfully.

End of Trial.

The Chairman presented awards and gave thanks to the helpers, judges and reminded everyone of the landowners generosity and a special thank you to Louise Bailey for all the selfless work over the last 12 months.

Mr. Steve Crooks responded on behalf of the judges, and remarked that the competing dogs sorted themselves out and those who did not make it to the end probably knew the reason for their failings. He thought the atmosphere was very friendly and the organisation and shooting estate made for an excellent field trial, which he hoped others in the sport could replicate.

The Winner gave the final remarks and thank all those involved especially the judges! he remarked his season had been a bit mixed, but was good to end it on such a high!
