Grade 1 will teach your gundog to walk a short distance at heel on a slip lead, without pulling on the lead, the distance can vary between 12m and 25m, depending on the breed.
Your gundog will learn to sit on one command and stay at a distance between 12m and 25m from the handler for a time period between 30 seconds and 2 minutes depending on the breed.
Your gundog will learn to recall from a distance 12m/25m sit position, to the handler and remain under control at heel.
Your gundog will learn to retrieve 2 dummies at a short distance of 16m and 21m both within sight of the gundog with no cover, one dummy will be a Working Gundog Puppy Dummy the other will be a Standard 1lb Working Gundog Dummy.
Each course will have a maximum of 5 students over a 8 week duration, each training session will last approx 1 hour. In week 8 an assessment will be carried out by an independant assessor.
